Updated Advisory on Safe Management Measures for Tours Re-opening in Phase 2

On 28 June 2020, Singapore Tourism Board shared the Advisory on Safe Management Measures (SMMs) for Tours Re-Opening in Phase 2 which provides guidance on the necessary SMMs that Tour Operators and Tourist Guides need to adhere to before resuming tours.

With effect from 27 July 2020, the following changes to the SMMs will apply:

  1. For walking, cycling and kayaking tours, maximum group size has been increased from 5 pax to 10 pax (excluding tourist guide), with maximum 5 pax allowed in any one sub-group.
  2. Operating capacity for conveyance-assisted tours will be capped at 50 pax or at the operating capacity of the conveyance after implementation of safe management measures, whichever is lower.
  3. For all tours, there should not be more than 5 pax in a sub-group and maintain at least 1m safe distance between sub-groups. Ensure no intermingling between different sub-groups at all times.
  4. Tour duration limit has been increased from 2 hours to 8 hours.
